FRM GmbH mediate a partnership between EBS University Wiesbaden and VinUniversity Hanoi

This partnership came about through the mediation of FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH International Marketing of the Region (FRM GmbH), which established contact between the two universities via its networks in Vietnam. EBS is thus the first German university to maintain an academic exchange program with the renowned Vietnamese university.

FRM GmbH has been in contact with Vingroup, the sponsor of the university in Hanoi, for a long time. With around 55,000 employees, the company is the largest private conglomerate in the country. Since 2023, the FRM GmbH has also had its own office in Vietnam. In economic terms, Germany is Vietnam's largest trading partner within the European Union. Well-known Vietnamese companies are already based in Frankfurt RheinMain. In 2010, FRM GmbH supported VietinBank, one of the country's three largest banks, with its establishment in Frankfurt am Main. The international automotive manufacturer VinFast opened a branch in Frankfurt in 2018, also with the support of FRM GmbH. VinFast is part of the Vingroup.

The partnership between EBS and VinUniversity now also strengthens the academic and cultural links between Frankfurt RheinMain and Vietnam. VinUniversity in Hanoi is the first private university with international standards in Vietnam and is considered one of the most prestigious in the country. The university was founded in 2020 by Vingroup, the largest private company in Vietnam. At VinUniversity's state-of-the-art 23-hectare campus in Hanoi, selected EBS students will have the opportunity to spend their exchange semester at either the College of Business and Management or the College of Arts and Sciences. This addition to the EBS international exchange network will enable students to deepen their understanding of the business culture of Southeast Asia.

Students from VinUniversity, in turn, will have the opportunity to study at EBS Wiesbaden and deal with aspects of the German and European economy.

The Frankfurt RheinMain area in turn benefits considerably from networking with the business community in Vietnam and VinUniversity
