Nice to see you again, London!

The aim is to promote the Frankfurt RheinMain region as a business location. In addition to Lord Mayor Mike Josef, Dr Jörg Kukies, State Secretary in the Federal Chancellery, Stephanie Wüst, Head of the City of Frankfurt's Department of Economics, Law and City Marketing, Oliver Behrens, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the DWS Group and Eric Menges, President & CEO of FRM GmbH, will also be there.

Mike Josef, Lord Mayor of the City of Frankfurt and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FRM GmbH: ‘The development of the financial centre in Frankfurt is positive: numerous foreign financial institutions have established or expanded branches here. In the competition for the location of the European money laundering authority AMLA, Frankfurt prevailed against important European capitals such as Paris, Vienna, Brussels and Madrid. Thanks to its central location, Frankfurt RheinMain has been an important hub for finance, trade and commerce for centuries. It is a good time to showcase Frankfurt's development in London. Our offer to companies in the UK is an invitation to participate in our economic growth. We want to strengthen new business locations in the areas of services, banking and trade fairs with new formats.’

Frankfurt meets London

The FRM delegation's programme includes two events with potential investors and a number of one-to-one meetings: ‘Our meetings in London are not just about promoting the economic strengths of the region. We are more than just an airport and a financial centre. Frankfurt Rhine-Main offers a high quality of life, is cosmopolitan, economically stable and English-speaking. Our region in the centre of Europe offers excellent conditions for companies that want to serve their customers in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Even though Brexit was years ago, the economy and companies are subject to constant change. A lot is happening in the Frankfurt RheinMain region that is worth presenting in London, which remains highly relevant in economic terms,’ says Eric Menges, President & CEO of FRM GmbH.

Frankfurt RheinMain as a European business centre

The strengths of the metropolitan area Frankfurt RheinMain as a business location go far beyond the financial sector. Internationally active companies require above all an efficient and Europe-wide networked transport infrastructure in order to maintain contact with customers, branches and production sites. The region is one of the leading European locations with excellent connections to all modes of transport.

Access to qualified international personnel is also a location factor that should not be underestimated. Frankfurt RheinMain has excellently trained, English-speaking staff with an international background. And last but not least, an excellent quality of life and more than 30 international schools make it easy to gain a foothold in the region.
